Description of an ellipse in terms of ratio of distance to a line and distance to a point.

An ellipse suggested by the moire pattern of single spaced concentric circles and double spaced parallel lines.

I couldn't pretend to even understand what you are talking about. But from an artistic point of view I can see that the inner ellipse resembles the proportions of the face— somewhat (it's uncanny how close it resembles the portions that I noticed it immediately, I am looking at it and it's almost exactly the same).
This intrigues me and sends my imagination into spirals. Does the equation of Phi apply? Given that Phi is the golden ratio of 1.61803399. I guess that it depends on the eye of the beholder?
